Areas of Practice
We handle all areas of criminal law, from traffic citations to "3 Strike"/life in prison cases. No one wants to be arrested or in a situation that could result in a loss of freedom. As a former prosecutor, experienced in Jury Trials, we will fight for you and make sure your rights are protected. The Criminal Justice System can be intimidating and daunting. Let us help.
Most everyone drives a car and when you drive a car in California, you waive or give up certain rights. For example, when you received your driver's license you agreed that if certain conditions are satisfied, you would submit to a blood test. Refusal of a blood test, or an evidentiary breath test means your driver's license is suspended automatically. In this way, DUI/DWI cases are a little different from other criminal cases.
If you were charged with DUI your driver license was taken and you
now have a temporary license. If you do not request a DMV hearing within
10 days of your arrest you will lose the temporary license too. We
will represent you in a DMV hearing and in the criminal court.
Sometimes youth under the age of 18 can make mistakes, or make choices that may involve them in the criminal justice system. While Juvenile delinquency matters are similar to the Adult Criminal System, there are important distinctions and differences. We have vast experience with Juvenile Delinquency matters and will ensure your child's rights are protected and that what is best for your child is never far from the Court's mind.
Not all marriages last and the divorce process can be confusing. In California this is called "Marriage Dissolution" and the area of practice is called "Family Law." There are many considerations in a Dissolution: Child support? Spousal support? Who should pay and how much is appropriate? Child custody? Visitation? How do I file for a divorce if I need it? What will happen to our property? To my property? We can help you. We also handle adoptions, name changes and any other area of Family Law assistance that you may need.
